A bad seed, Warren Ellis, is joining Nick Cave for a tour of the U.S. and Canada beginning in March.

In support of the duo’s first record together, Carnage, Cave and Ellis are scheduled to perform 17 shows throughout the whole month and the start of April next year. Their first show is at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, North Carolina, and they will stop in Texas, California, Washington, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, and Canada. The tour precedes Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds‘ own summer European stint that will run until August.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. EST this Friday, November 19, on Cave’s website.

Cave and Ellis first met in 1993 when Ellis contributed to the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds record Let Love In. Ellis then joined the band as a full-time member and has since worked with Cave in Grinderman and on numerous film and TV scores.
