Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones are suiting up for the Super Bowl LX pregame festivities, which will set the tone for the Feb. 8 culmination of the NFL season at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Ca. As previously reported, Bad Bunny will headline the game’s Apple Music Halftime Show.
Puth will belt out the National Anthem before kickoff, with Carlile performing “America the Beautiful” and Jones singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The action will be broadcast live on NBC, Telemundo and Peacock.
Deaf performers Fred Beam and Julian Ortiz will augment the above performances in ASL, and a multilingual signing program incorporating Puerto Rican sign language will be led by Celimar Rivera Cosme during Bad Bunny’s set.
“Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honored to have them – alongside our extraordinary deaf performers – on Super Bowl LX’s world stage,” said Desiree Perez, CEO of halftime show producer Roc Nation. “This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance and our country, perfectly kicking off game day.”
Puth’s appearance precedes the March 6 release of his fourth album, Whatever’s Clever! Carlile is nominated for the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Grammy for her Elton John collaboration Who Belives in Angels?, while Jones is up for eight Grammys at the upcoming 68th edition of the awards.
