Sublime will squeeze into the intimate Silver Lining Lounge in New York for an unplugged performance on Aug. 20 as part of the Lipps Service Live! Summer Concert Series. Only 100 tickets are available for the event, which will be hosted by Lipps Service‘s Scott Lipps.

Sublime returned to activity last year, with original late frontman Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob taking over for him on lead vocals in tandem with the original rhythm section of drummer Bud Gaugh and bassist Eric Wilson. The group’s new single, “Ensanada,” was released in mid-July, and Sublime will be on tour throughout the fall at such festivals as Sea.Hear.Now in Asbury Park, N.J., Shaky Knees in Atlanta and Mission Bayfest in San Diego.

The series is an outgrowth of the Lipps Service podcast, which since 2018 has featured many of the biggest voices and personalities in music, including exclusive interviews with Anthony Kiedis, David Lee Roth, Hozier, Maynard James Keenan, the Police’s Stewart Copeland, Mick Fleetwood, Nikki Sixx, Dove Cameron, Perry Farrell, the Kills and many more.

Located near the Bowery in downtown Manhattan, Silver Lining has recently hosted pop-up performances from such big names as Benson Boone, Leon Bridges and Yungblud.
