Flannel Nation, the new ’90s alternative-focused festival that will take place this August, has finally announced its hyped-up “special guest” headliner. The festival was marketed to the old souls and former grunge kids looking to re-live their heyday. Today, the headliner has been announced— and its… Sugar Ray. Maybe some dreams are too good to come true, or maybe they just want to fly? Either way, it won’t be a long trip for Mark McGrath and company — the band is originally from Huntington Beach.
The festival, which was announced in March, features a slew of B-list ’90s alt-rockers including Everclear, Soul Asylum, and Candlebox— so maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised after months of build-up (though imagine who else was in contention…).
The festival will take place on Saturday, August 13 at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, California. Tickets, priced at $55, are available here.
