Red Hot Chili Peppers have unveiled a video for the song “These Are the Ways” to coincide with the release of their new Rick Rubin-produced album, Unlimited Love, which is out now. The clip was directed by Malia James, known for her prior work with Green Day, Rita Ora and Niall Horan.
In it, a group of young people are seen making out, gathering around a dining room table and then suddenly fleeing the police, while the Chili Peppers rock out with abandon. “These Are the Ways” follows prior singles “Black Summer,” “Poster Child” and “Not the One” from Unlimited Love, the Peppers’ first album with longtime guitarist John Frusciante since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium.

The band has also announced an April 7 performance at Amoeba Records in Los Angeles, with entry only available to those who purchase Unlimited Love at the store. As previously reported, the Chili Peppers’ own SiriusXM station, “Whole Lotta Red Hot,” also launches today with the band members’ track-by-track commentary on the new album.
Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.
The Chili Peppers begin an extensive world tour June 4 in Seville, Spain. A North American stadium leg gets underway July 23 in Denver, with support from such acts as Thundercat, The Strokes, St. Vincent and Haim.
