Lady Gaga is the latest high-profile name to join the performance lineup for the 64th Grammy awards, which will take place Sunday (April 3) and air live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
In tandem with longtime collaborator Tony Bennett, Gaga is up for five awards, including album of the year for their Cole Porter tribute Love for Sale and record of the year for “I Get a Kick Out of You.” No announcement was made regarding the possible participation of Bennett, 95, who retired from public performance following two shows last August at New York Radio’s City Music Hall.
Other artists set to perform on Sunday include Silk Sonic (who will open the show), Jon Batiste, Brothers Osborne, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, Nas, Olivia Rodrigo, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and John Legend. HITS is reporting that Justin Bieber will also perform, but his presence has not been confirmed.
As expected, Foo Fighters will not perform as originally planned, following the March 25 death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Instead, Hawkins will be the subject of a tribute segment, although further details are unknown.
Batiste leads all nominees with 11. Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. scored eight nominations, while Eilish and Rodrigo picked up seven apiece.
