The new episode of Lipps Service is a bit different than usual. Host Scott Lipps spoke with SPIN’s editorial director Daniel Kohn. The two went over their respective best albums of 2021. The two also looked back at 2021 in the music and what’s to come in 2022. Kohn and Lipps have vastly different music tastes, but they did agree on one thing: Turnstile had one of the best albums of 2021.
Since it began in 2018, the acclaimed podcast has featured many of the biggest voices and personalities in music, including exclusive interviews with Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis, David Lee Roth, Shepard Fairey, Courtney Love, Dove Cameron, Mick Fleetwood, Nikki Sixx, Perry Farrell and many, many more.
On the previous episode of Lipps Service, host Scott Lipps spoke with rising rockers Palaye Royale. This is the third time they’ve appeared on the show and as usual, they bring the heat. The trio of Sebastian Danzig, Remington Leith, and Emerson Barrett chatted about their new album and looked back at their history. The Palaye Royale brothers also spoke about life on the road and what’s it like to rock with your brothers.
Every week, a new episode of SPIN Presents Lipps Service is available wherever you consume podcasts (Apple, etc.). Listen to the full episode with Daniel Kohn below.
