Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood is demanding a portion of the score he wrote for the 2017 Paul Thomas Anderson film Phantom Thread be removed from the recent documentary Melania.

“It has come to our attention that a piece of music from Phantom Thread has been used in the Melania documentary,” reads a statement attributed to both men. “While Jonny Greenwood does not own the copyright in the score, Universal failed to consult Jonny on this third-party use, which is a breach of his composer agreement. As a result, Jonny and Paul Thomas Anderson have asked for it to be removed from the documentary.”

Greenwood has worked on a dozen film scores for Anderson since the early 2000s, earning three Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations each for Best Original Score — including this year for One Battle After Another.

Melania was directed by Brett Ratner and financed and distributed by Amazon MGM. The film has earned about $13 million at the U.S. box office against an estimated $75 million budget.
