Bad Bunny and Amazon Music are teaming for a variety of initiatives based in the artist’s native Puerto Rico, including a global livestream of a newly added Sept. 20 finale for his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí: Una Más residency at José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan.
The run began July 11 and its first nine shows were reserved exclusively for residents of Puerto Rico. The new Sept. 20 gig falls on the eighth anniversary of Hurricane Maria, which caused widespread destruction on the island.
The partnership aims to “uplift Puerto Rico’s economy and create meaningful change across the island,” including work already being done by Fundación Rimas and and Fundación Good Bunny to add “education programs, technology resources and an enriched STEM curriculum for students and teachers.”
Also on tap are programs to support farmers and improve access to fresh produce, plus a curated Amazon.com storefront, comPRa Local, featuring Puerto Rican products, music and everyday goods.
“Puerto Rico is our home, and everything we do is shaped by the island and its people,” says Bad Bunny manager Noah Assad of RIMAS Entertainment. “This collaboration is about more than music — it’s about honoring our culture and making sure the world not only sees Puerto Rico but also supports and invests in it. Together with Amazon, we’re creating something that will last long after the show ends.”
No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí: Una Más was staged in support of Bad Bunny’s album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, a limited-edition vinyl version of which featuring photos from the residency will be available for preorder exclusively through the Amazon Music app on Saturday.
“By combining music, Amazon technologies, commerce and community programs at scale, we’re engaging global audiences to this historic moment while strengthening Puerto Rican communities,” says Amazon Director of Music Latin-Iberia Rocío Guerrero. “We are incredibly proud of this multi-year collaboration, which turns the power of music into meaningful and lasting progress for the island.”
