A$AP Rocky was arrested at LAX International Airport on Wednesday in connection with a shooting that took place in Hollywood last November. The rapper was on his way back to the U.S. from Barbados via private plane, where he was with his fianceé, Rihanna. LAPD and ICE made the arrest at the airport.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a statement Wednesday morning confirming the news of the arrest.

According to NBC News, Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) has been under investigation since the alleged incident took place. The victim told police that Rocky and two other men approached him while walking on the street around 10:20 pm PST. Continuing, the victim said that Rocky fired off “three or four shots,” one of which grazed their hand.
NBC News cited sources multiple law sources familiar with the situation.
SPIN has reached out to Rocky’s attorney for comment. However, Rocky’s attorney Alan Jackson confirmed to NBC News that Rocky was arrested.
In July 2019, Rocky was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of assault. He remained in a Swedish prison for a month before his release in August. He was later found guilty but returned to the country later in 2019 “after tremendous support from the Swedish fans.”
